Almost 1 million U.S. households consists of same-sex partners

ORLANDO, Fla. — 5 years following the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriages around the U.S., significantly more than a half million households are designed up of married same-sex couples, in accordance with numbers the U.S. Census Bureau released Thursday.

The number of married same-sex households has increased by almost 70 percent, rising to 568,110 couples in 2019, according to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey since 2014, the year before the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same sex marriages.

For the 980,000 same-sex couple households reported in 2019, 58 % had been maried people and 42 per cent had been unmarried lovers, the survey revealed.

There were somewhat more feminine few households than male few households.
